"I derive inspiration from the supreme power as my work is based on the meditative energies which I experience during my meditation, be it the energy of Shiv Shakti, Sufism or Zen. My paintings are a source of positive energy and a way to connect to the supreme power", says Trupti Dave.

Born in 1963 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, Trupti has completed her Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the M S University, Baroda, in 1988. She had no formal training in any art school, but has received the basic training from the renowned artist from Bhavnagar Late Sri Khodidas Parmar & Late Sri Somlal Shah. Since then she has been doing shows of her works in several places in India. She had her first solo show in 1983 in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Her recent solo shows includes 'Art by Artchitect' & 'The Mystic Journey' at Amdavad Ni Gufa, Ahmedabad, in 2011; 'The Journey Beyond- In loving memory of my inspiring father' , in M S University, Baroda and Renaissance Art Gallery, Bangalore, in 2010. Apart from these, her works were also featured in several group shows. Trupti was honoured by the Income Tax Department of India in 2010. Her works are in collection with art lovers in India, and abroad.
