Kumaraswamy B

Kumaraswamy uses stylized women figures in his paintings with natural forms like leaves and butterflies, to show that humans are also an integral part of the nature. He paints with a lot of decorative sense and uses a limited color palette. His paintings are the coming together of two very beautiful creations of God: Nature and Women. He shows brightness in his paintings. Most of his paintings have closed eyes to convey the grasping of nature’s smell. In his works, nature is always compared with women to show fertility, beauty and resilience.

The artist says, “My works centre mainly on women and nature. Women have long been associated with nature - metaphorically, as in 'mother Earth', these words inspire me, and my work generally goes with the combination of flowers, motifs, sun and butterflies as nature”
