“I was born & raised in a village, surrounded by Panakala swamy hills, Narsimha swamy temple, ponds, lakes and greenery, which has helped to gain the colour sense in me from the Nature. The people around me have always inspired me with their love, sentiments and their lives. I was always shy but, was keen to study other’s outer and inner feelings”, says V Krishna Ashok.
Krishna Ashok has a stylized approach towards his works and at the same time, he also talks about mythology. Like in his paintings, the Antaryami series, he painted the images from the ancient Indian temples like Radha Krishna in miniature style, and also a modern figure in the same frame. His works bring about a very innovative fusion. The word ‘Antaryami‘ means the one who knows the inner feelings of others. He has overlapped the narration on the figures to depict the feelings going on inside them. Colors show the mood of the painting. The crowded composition in Ashok's works shows an endless feeling of desires.
